And Finally
The 'And Finally' column for 30 March titled "Next week: a D2x out of sticky back plastic" (written by a Canon user) was based on a link to another site which sports links to such great tips as a site supplying free 'downloadable flat pack lens hoods' - you print them out on the material of your choice, cut around the stencil lines and tape them to your lens. This is a totally incredible site and completely deadpan. Another link tells how it is possible to make slave flashguns from discarded film cameras.Ads Freelance Photography.com
One of the 'tips' could actually come in handy. A month or so back I was photographed at an opening by a guy who was using a sheet of A4 print paper (for those in the US, letter size will do almost as well) fixed to his flash as a disposable reflector. The Oribounce shows how you can make it look a little (only a little) more professional and slightly more practical with a pencil, some sticky tape and scissors. Thanks go to Torsten Balle Koefoed, a 34 year-old from Denmark for this, almost the sole contents of his web site, the Home of The Moose.
